Ridhima Pal

I am an Engineering student at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Through my research, I have niche knowledge in AI diagnostics, epigenetics, and diabetes. I have presented my biomedical engineering project at Unge Forskere, the European Union Contest for Young Scientists (EUCYS), and the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). I aspire to become a biomedical engineer, specifically aiming to make medicine more inclusive through technology. My current project at DTU is in Synthetic Biology, where our team will be presenting our research at the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition.

Although my expertise lies in life sciences, I consistently update myself with developments in science, hence why I am passionate and extremely comfortable in communicating science in general. For instance, I have presented technical pitches to Ramboøll to address the water crisis in the refugee camp in Kenya. In a similar vein, I have presented sustainability projects in universities and high schools. Overall, I am experienced in communicating science in a comprehensible manner to diverse audiences. Truly, I believe science is only as useful and magical as it is if everyone makes an effort to understand it themselves, and helps others understand it as well.
